When Philadelphians Alex and Moira went on a design -convention-getaway weekend in New Orleans, none of their friends and family were quite prepared for the phone calls and FaceTimes that they got a few days into the trip. After a sweet courthouse ceremony, the newly married couple stopped to make a few crucial calls. The words "We did it!" and a flash of wedding rings were met with squeals of delight and excitement on both ends of the line.
The ceremony, presided over by a Justice of the Peace, commenced on the balcony of historic Algiers Courthouse overlooking the Mississippi River and the New Orleans skyline.
Look at those gorgeous faces and fantastic shoes!
Where some people cross a threshold as a symbolic gesture of the new life they have just entered into together, Alex and Moira decided to take a ferry across one of the most historic and powerful rivers in US history. The beginning of a journey in life, and an amazing adventure/day celebrating their love.
